~Maalai Saarthinaal, Kodhai~

The baby was found lying like a beautiful rose,
Under the tulasi within the temple's lush garden
Vishnucitta saw and carried her in a gentle pose
And adopted her like her own,with all his pardon.

As she grew along, Kodhai was the name she bore
The father dotingly telling all the tales of Lord
Little did he know her love for Vishnu grew more,
Her heart beating for Vishnu creating music accord

"I'll try those garlands" to herself she whispered
Before her father offered them to Lord, so pure
Chanting all his prayers with faith in every word,
Had no knowledge on Kodhai's act of sin with lure

One day, her father finally sees her act,grows soar,
Embracing the lord by wearing the garland of flowers,
An upset father is not happy with daughter anymore
Kodhai is upset ,angry with her worldly human powers

Vishnu comes in Vishnucitta's dream with all smiles,
"Why don't you not offer me her garlands anymore,
Its been long,I always accept her garlands, her wiles",
Father opens his eyes, realizing His love to the core.

"There is divine love between my daughter and God"
He thinks and ponders and offers her garlands to Him,
Acceptance was with ease and happiness by the Lord,
Kodhai's love only grew and Lord vanished her whim.

As she grew to a lovely woman, her heart only grew
Chanting Vishnu's name all the time,in every breath,
Every second, "He is the one, I shall marry",she spew
If her request was rejected, she would accept death

Her father, yet again grew angry,now upset and worried,
And yet again, Vishnu appeared in his legendary vision,
Accept the request don't be against her and get buried
As there is a task for you- need to complete a mission


Send her to Srirangam where I shall accept her -my love
Kodhai, on listening to this, grew ecstatic with love and lust
She roared with urgency and merged with the Lord Above,
The well known Andal vanished into the Divine like a dust
